• Beautiful relaxing setting.
• Can't think of anything we didn't like!

“We'd booked a one-night stay which we extended to two nights. This was a lovely setting, the food was excellent and the staff attentive, if not a little formal. We have planned to come again in the autumn. All in all we couldn't have had a better time. Added to which it was absolutely excellent value for money.”

“The experience was excellent with a truly gastronomic meal in the evening with excellent wines. It made an excellent ending to a weeks drive through parts of France, Belgium and the Netrherlands.

The only critiscism was on the instructions from the Mot”

• nous avons dinez et que le repas a TtT excellent.
• le petit dejeuner a 12 euros n'a rien d'exceptionnel et assez cher.(meme pas de l'orange pressTe a ce prix).Apparement plutot industriel.

• A delightful building in beautiful grounds, pleasant ambiance in the Chateau generally, an outstanding restaurant and extremely friendly and helpful staff.
• Some people might find the twisting stairs and long corridors a problem to negotiate but this wasn't a problem for us.

“We were looking for a rather special last night's stay close to the Channel crossing and that's exactly what we got. The Cocove felt like a proper chateau, right down to the uneven stone flagged restaurant floor, and is set in beautiful grounds. The service in the bar, for pre-dinner drinks, and in the restaurant was outstanding and our last meal in France on this trip was without doubt one of the best we had enjoyed all week. The Cocove is very well signposted from the A26, however it would have been helpful to have a warning that re-joining the autoroute involves an un-manned toll barrier that only accepts credit cards.”

• The bar and restaurant area were comfortable and attractive and the food was excellent. The large bedrooms aren't grand but comfortable enough.The hotel is slightly shabby but that doesn't detract from the overall experience.
• Would have liked a more comfortable bed. We were not offered any help with the cases.

• Excellent restaurant
• Rooms were delapidated and smelt of sewarage

“The outside of this beautiful old chateau was very tempting. Unfortunately old was the operative word. The first room offered had threadbare carpets, the wood work had not been painted for severall years, the grout in the bathroom was black and the door furniture was nearly hanging off. We were then offered the only remaining room which smelt of sewerage . The internal bathroom did not have a working extraction fan. We were left with a bottle of toilet duck and an air freshener and told if we wanted to cancel it would cost the full charge for the room. Not good.
A full letter of complaint will be forwarded to both Best Western and yourselves.”

• Fantastic food, safe parking, quiet location
• Had a bit of difficulty finding hotel

“Felt travel-weary & crumpled on arrival. Would have liked to have known that most guests dress smartly for dinner - lucky I had a change of clothes handy!”
