• Good location near subway station.
• Tiny room for price.

“Kind courteous staff, clean and safe room. Small room, but meets needs for place to sleep and get cleaned up. Good breakfast and great central location.”

• Front desk staff, continental breakfast, chocolate at check-in.
• Room was awful, small, dingy, dirty carpet, poor lighting, hard mattress.

“Do not believe the pictures that are posted on the internet. I do not know where they took them, as it was not the hotel I stayed in. Hotel was overpriced, out of the way (but close to the subway 6 train), and just in need of a total makeover.”

• Good location, very clean, decent breakfast on premises, bathrobe in room.
• Very poor lighting in room, telephone did not work properly, non-renovated bathroom, no full-length mirror in room.

“This hotel had an excellent location and was clean and quiet. Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant each morning which is convenient. It is a cold breakfast, no hot food available other than coffee and tea. Food was plentiful and fresh though. I thought the room was not a good value for the price I paid due to very poor lighting, telephone that did not work properly, room overlooked a dirty roof, old bathroom with no counter or storage space, although it was very clean.”

• Bed was very hard.

“Great hotel! We highly enjoyed all interaction with the staff and very convenient to everything we wanted to go to. Subway station just down from the hotel entrance.”

• Very convenient location (if going out around Union Square) Very clean and welcoming.
• Small room.

“Pro: Perfect for what we needed it for (one night) place to sleep after night of going out, clean, safe, convenient location. Very clean, comfy, cozy, friendly staff, bed was super comfortable. Con: Room was very small. No water pressure in bathroom and small shower, no full length mirror to get ready in. You literally walk in the room and 85% of the space is the bed so its kind of crowded with 2 people getting ready at the same time. If i was going out in union square I would deff. stay here again.”

• The location, close to subway, and the free breakfast.
• Smaller room than expected.

“The hotel was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance to the empire state building and the subway is on the same street.. Excellent 1st time experience in New York!”

• Super clean bathroom! Comfortable bed.
• Not enough lighting in room - too dark!

“Very pleasant stay experience. Great continental breakfast. Room was very clean. Especially clean bathroom - very happy about that. Comfy bed. Nice people. Even size of room okay for New York area. Only complaint would be not enough lighting in room at night to read - I would like more brightness in room.”

• Nothing.
• Rude staff at front desk, rooms were very small.

“We arrived expecting a luxurious room for the price. The beds were just ordinary. The rude staff at the desk led us to believe the rooms were huge, and we would have plenty of room. You could barely shut the bathroom door if you were using the toilet. The desk staff was very rude to our children, made us feel that we were not worthy of their hotel, we felt belittled. It was the worst hotel experience of our week. Weren't we sorry!”

• The subway was close because no cabs were around that area.
• It is clearly not a 3 star hotel. I feel I was Hoodwinked!

“Staff was rude and appeared to be bothered by having to answer questions. Doorman was not selective in who he let into the lobby. Neighbor is not exactly the most safe.”

• Hotel had Free hi-speed internet, flat panel TV.
• Room was small but nice and elegant.

“This hotel is great for anyone wanting to stay close to the Empire State Building. It is also close to nice Chinese restaurants. There is also a Metro Subway area right down the street.”

• Good location for a great price during an expensive holiday weekend. Breakfast was great!
• The room was small, but what can you expect in NYC. Most hotel rooms are going to be small unless you spend a lot.

“It was a nice hotel, about a 10 min train ride to Times Square/5th Ave area. The hotel lobby was very attractive and the staff was very friendly and efficient in the check-in/check-out process. The room was very comfortable, clean, and attractive. I thought it was a great find in NYC and I would stay there again.”
