“$2.00 per day booking fee is horrible. An surprise $5.50 per day parking fee is strange, better cheaper higher star are available. I stay in 80 hotel rooms per year. This was a rip off.”

“ Staff put a hold on my credit card for the cost of the room at check-in, despite me explaining to her - multiple times - that it had already been paid. I was fine with them putting a small hold on for incidentals (though the Hilton Midtown NYC didn't feel that was necessary). However, they put a hold on for incidentals PLUS the cost of the room (at a higher rate than what I'd booked it for, to boot). In short, it's a lousy hotel. It's noisy and while it's technically clean, it's deteriorating and in need of a lot of work. Stay elsewhere. ”

“The hotel needed updating, the beds where uncomfortable and the rooms didn't feel clean. We found hairs in both our beds. The staff wasn't particularly friendly and they charged us a booking fee.”

“Rooms need updating. Bathroom was dirty and moldy. The air conditioning unit was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep. The front desk personnel were unfriendly and never at the desk. Stood there for 15 mins to check in while the personnel were on the phone in a side office. We were totally ignored each time we had to go to the front desk and I believe we were dealing with the front desk manager. We were also charged a $2.00 booking charge by the hotel and a parking fee on top of the priceline charges. Not sure why we were asked to pay them a booking fee.”

“My experience here was not horrible, it was just average. For a quick visit to the college, it was fine. The main reason I didn't like it was the beds were so uncomfortable. Also, they offer very little amenities, just adding a little personal touch like that goes a long way.”

“ In general, it's a nice hotel with very good location. We had a nice breakfast in the restaurant with our niece and it was definitely a great experience. The restaurant waiter was a nice college student. The lobby was well decorated, but access to the lobby is a little inconvenient as it's on the 2nd floor. Parking was strange because of its narrow lanes, but it's OK when there are just few cars. ”

“ My hotel room was not cleaned for two of the six nights that I was there. Staff claimed that Do Not Disturb sign was posted. This is not true, Do Not Disturb sign was removed by 10:00 a.m. on the first night, and was not posted at all 2nd night. ”

“The Atherton Hotel was a simple nickel and dime hotel. The hotel doesn't have internet in the room unless you pay for it. The staff was not that friendly and didn't mention when I was checking in that if I wanted to check out early I would have to pay 250.00. I think the Days inn down the road and the Super offer in room internet for free and their rooms were cheaper. I will never stay at this location again and it's too bad because I visit at least 3-4 times a year for a week each time.”
