“Hotel staff was great. Rooms were nice ad clean. Restaurant staff was terrible from start to finish. We had to wait to be seated while a waiter talked on the phone - he did not even acknowledge our presence. Our waitress was very slow and we had to ask another staff member to get her twice. There was only one other table filled at that time. For the high prices at breakfast, we would expect
much better service.”

“They gave me a conference room with a pull out sofa to sleep on, they called it a Parlor room.”

“Hotel could be a 3 star, but it needs renovation. The heater in our room didn't work. (Staff fixed it within an hour.) Plaster was peeling off the ceiling. They offered to give us a new room, but we declined. They did give us a free in-room movie. Wifi was $10 per day, no complimentary breakfast. For what I paid for the room, I could have stayed at a comparable hotel with free wifi and complimentary breakfast.”

“DoubleTree used to be an upscale hotel, but no more. Hyatt and Courtyard are rated at a lower star rating, but far exceed DoubleTree in room size, attractiveness, modern amenities, and service to the customer. The only things going for DoubleTree are location, cleanliness, friendly staff, and conference rooms. I can't believe that a business-oriented hotel makes you pay for wi-fi.”

“Very nice hotel. Internet very poor, especially when you have to pay 9.95 for use. Shame on property for that charge.”

“ Our stay overall was nice. The rooms are clean, and also the bathroom. We did enjoy the staff at the restaurant. We had the breakfast buffet, and the price was fair for the excellent food. We liked the omelet chef, and the restaurant manager, hostess, and waitress were likable also. We liked the comfort of the beds and pillows, but had a problem with a smoke smell in the room, and the slowness of the elevators. ”

“
It makes no sense for the Hilton Chain to give away wifi/Internet at their lower end hotels (Hampton) and charge at their more upscale. I would expect
more perks not less for a higher end hotel.”

“
It needs updating. The walls and bedding were boring and out of date. I liked the hallways and purple doors, but it was just a boring hotel. I was looking to spoil my sister and niece and it just wasn't what I wanted.

“This is an older hotel (maybe 1970s) that has been extensively remodeled. The old bones still show through, but the furnishings, including the TV, are modern. Many rooms are located close to the elevators and it can get quite noisy around them. No free Internet.”

“There are other hotels(with the same rating if not 1 star less) in the area which have better ambience , free internet in the room,( not only in the lobby/business area )and also offer a great hot breakfast even when one is there with a priceline rate.”

“The 3.5 star rating is indicative of the lobby and restaurant, but the room was not set apart from a 2 star hotel. Please note that there are probably other rooms and suites in the hotel that appear more like 3.5 star rooms. The amenities for the 3.5 star were less than we had in other 3 and 2.5 star hotels.”

“We have stayed there before and had similar experience. The lay out is very corporate and sterile. not conducive to relaxation.”
