• Best hotel in Chinle AZ.
• Hotel is looking dated

“Hotel is older than we expected and needs some refreshing. Hotel appears to be over 10 years old and needs some updated to hotel and grounds.”

• Nice place to stay, clean, but had problems with our toilet over flowing. Problem was taken care of promptly.
• Dinning restaurant closing at 10 in am had to go eat somewhere else, not many places to eat in Chinle.

• Restaurant had great native American dishes which we enjoyed. Staff is cordial, but not smiling much.

“Great location for those who want to visit Canyon De Chelly. While the hotel itself is quite lovely, the surroundings reflect the poverty of reservation land - trailers, sheds, etc.”

• The women working there were friendly and helpful.
• There was no hot water running in the sink. Front desk attendant gave wrong address for hotel at 11 pm.

“The hotel was apparently taken over by Comfort Inns a short time ago and they were not listed in the phone book. There was no address or phone number on room key.”

• Free hi-speed internet
• Staff took longer than expected to check us in.

“The hotel had very comfortable rooms - beds were nice and bathroom was clean and spacious. The restaurant was adequate, but only open until 8 pm during this time of year, so we were lucky to get there before it closed.”

• Clean and well-maintained room, quiet and comfortable, with Wifi
• The signs pointing to registration are not clear and on our visit the kitchen was a little slow.

“Quiet and comfortable. The room was very nice, and the in-room fridge was nice. There was a microwave (did not use) and coffee maker. Kitchen was a little slow, but server offered salad bar at no charge, which totally made up for it. The lotion and shampoo were Bath and Body Works, a really nice scent, an unexpected little luxury.”

• Nice rooms and location.
• Staff need training. TV did not get ABC or NBC.

“I would not recommend this hotel despite the location and nice rooms. The staff took over 20 minutes to check us in. When we wanted to watch TV in the evening we could not get ABC or NBC, nor was their a correct channel guide. When we called the desk to inquire we were told that is how it is. This is a fine facility but one of the worst hotel experiences I have had due to the poorly trained staff.”

• Excellent location. Able to get a canyon tour from the hotel on a moment's notice.
• Got a dirty room. Front desk not overly friendly. Exercise room was dirty with old equipment.

“The hotel was fine overall. My room was spacious with a very comfortable king size bed. However room was not very clean. The bathroom had enough hair in it to make a wig and the carpet or something, smelled as soon as the air conditioning was turned down. I reported it directly to housekeeping and the front desk and they said they would take care of it. When I returned to the room after a day of sightseeing the bathroom was clean and the smell seemed to be gone but when I woke up the next morning there was a horrible smell that was nauseating. The front desk didn't really care about the problem when I check out.”

“One of the best in our two months of travel, gorgeous view, freezing AC kept like a rock, friendly staff, good restaurant, excellent location for those wishing to explore the Canyon.”

• Great location. Nice Navajo decor.
• Our room was not ready even after the designated check-in time.

“This hotel is very conveniently located, just a very short drive to the Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The room we had was nicely furnished and the bathrooms were nice. We love the showers hotel! The grounds were very pleasant, lush and green, even though we were right in the dry desert of Arizona.”

• Attractive facility.
• Refrigerator on floor by bed-husband ran into it when he got up during the night.

“A very nice motel. An added benefit was that this motel was located very near the park we had traveled to see. The restaurant seemed a little pricey so we did not eat there.”

• The housekeeping in our room left a lot to be desired.

“We have staying in many locations on the Rez but this is the first one we've stayed in where the room has not been thoroughly cleaned before we've checked in.”
